Partners In Education
The Wheeling Area Chamber Partners in Education Committee is tasked with choosing our annual Elementary, Middle, and High School Teachers of the Year. Each year, these recipients are recognized by the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce at our annual Steak Fry and celebrated for their hard work and dedication to their profession. The Chamber Partners in Education Committee also selects a local high school senior to receive a scholarship to a West Virginia College or University.
2024 Recipients:
Ms. Mia Huck - Ritchie Elementary School
Ms. Abigail Reeves - Triadelphia Middle School
Mrs. Elizabeth Knorr - Wheeling Central Catholic High School
The 2024 Teachers of the Year were sponsored by West Virginia Northern Community College and given $100 gift cards to buy supplies for their classrooms.
The $1,000 Williams Lea Scholarship Winner was Isaac Schmitt, a Wheeling Central Catholic High School graduate who will begin classes at West Virginia University in Fall 2024. The $1,000 Paull Associates Scholarship Winner was Jared Marsh, a Wheeling Park High School graduate who will also begin classes at West Virginia University in Fall 2024.

Mrs. Mary Beth Criniti - Wheeling Central Catholic High School
