Innovative Back Office

The real key to Wheeling’s strengths is its willingness to diversify. More recently, Wheeling has successfully attracted and maintained what is termed as back office operations of global firms. One example is Orrick, Herrington, Sutcliffe. Orrick created a Global Operations center here by redeveloping a 100-year-old industrial building of 88,000 square feet into modern offices and state-of-the-art technology center. The GOC serves as the Help Desk for all Orrick’s offices worldwide.

A second example is British outsourcing firm Williams Lea which made Downtown Wheeling home for the back office of another international law firm with hundreds of attorneys spread around the globe.
